Megafauna (Austin, TX)
Critics and fans alike have likened Megafauna’s sound to mid-90s grunge and noise. The OC Weekly proclaimed, “Megafauna do noise rock at its ‘90s peak” and Austin AV Club compared the band to “the heroes of the ’90s alternative boom.” The sound Megafauna creates using the typical power trio format (guitar, bass, drums) is massive and the band’s mastery of dynamics has sparked much attention. Paste Magazine wrote that the band “Flows like water. Roars like lightening. Badass all around.”
