MIM Presents: 35th Annual Paradise Valley Jazz Party – Jazz Jam Session 2
Entering its thirty-fifth year, the 2012 Paradise Valley Jazz Party has joined forces with MIM to celebrate this landmark event. The two-day “MIM Presents: Paradise Valley Jazz Party” will have the same “jam session” format, plus surprises such as a “Jazz Jams under the Stars” evening component in MIM’s elegant outdoor courtyard. Highlights for this year will include the re-creation of the Quintette du Hot Club de France, featuring violinist Aaron Weinstein, bassist Brian Torff, and guitarist Stan Sorenson, as well as a celebration of the achievements of guest-of-honor pianist Shelly Berg. This event will serve a boxed lunch from 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
