The Men are a four-piece punk outfit from Brooklyn, NY. They have been described by Mishka as "more composers than musicians." They have breathed new life into the genre of hardcore and created a seminal album that is truly for punks of all ages. After several visits to the Valley (and recently winning Best New Music on Pitchfork), The Men returns with Destruction Unit.
Baltimore's Lower Dens just released a new album "Nootropics" to critical acclaim. Fronted by Jana Hunter, Lower Dens combine swirling guitars ala Cocteau Twins and Beach House, mixed with elements of Krautrock.
