Mad Monsoon/The Low Men
The foundation for Mad Monsoon started back in October 2010 when bassist and vocalist Gabe "Ape" ran into "Scary" Gary of the Toomstoners. The two started playing together and added John "Rock" on guitar and second vocalist a few months later. Eventually Gary was replaced by Jeff Walker on the drums who was with the band until just recently. Now El-Rich D recently made his debut on drums with the band on June 9. The band plays what they describe as "monsoon rock".
The Low Men are a four-piece rock band from Mesa. Check out this great review from Mike UC radio podcast bitemefcc.com; "If you took the hooks of the Gin Blossoms, the song writing of Nick Lowe, and the guitar tones of the Smithereens, all that influence is in there. It sounds good. Good hooks, good tunes. I really like it." 21+ show
