Vladimir Pleshakov, Elena Winther, and the Czar’s Piano
Vladimir Pleshakov and Elena Winther, husband-and-wife pianists, have been hailed by the Russian press as “European heirs to the great Russian pianistic tradition.” Masterfully conveying the history, drama, and passion of the great romantic composers, the Pleshakovs will play their own historic pianos—including a 1826 Tischner Grand Fortepiano, one of only three known to exist and believed to have belonged to Czar Nicholas I.
