He Who Binds Himself, Scattered Guts, Autumn's End and SaintBreaker

Score: 0

A night of awesome metal at Joe's Grotto! He Who Binds Himself is a Phoenix based death metal band specializing in memorable songs with a focus on capturing the listener. The imagery and delivery is a "working man's metal" for those who need to depart from this reality, if even just for fleeting moments. The group is dedicated to keeping the metal as heavy as possible without sacrificing the enjoyment of the audience. HWBH is not afraid to venture into disturbing subject matter and tend to focus on the horrors of everyday atrocity as a platform for lyrical content. Scattered Guts offers a fresh, yet familiar sound to the scene. Scattered Guts' music is littered with heavy riffs and powerful vocals. The band plays an aggressive style of thrash metal.

The Valley lost a great metal band in 2013 when Autumn's End called it a day. Fortunately they rose from the ashes in a huge way and have just released their third album Burn the Earth in 2017! The band has been led by lead vocalist and master on the axe Chris Cannella since 2003. He was formerly in N17, Mission 66 and Rorschach Test and has been considered a master clinician for years. The formula has always been the same; music full of integrity and without a shred of compromise that will take the listener deep into the darkness. This is metal that strives to break the generic characterization many bands of the same genre fall victim to for it is technical and full of melodies along with the brutal aggression. Be sure to check out their past releases, their first EP The Five Cycles of Discipline and three vicious full-length albums, Autumn's End, Act of Attrition and The Siren's Lament. The new line-up features longtime friends and former N17 bandmates Jason Kowalski (N17, Rorschach Test, Hogjaw) Tanner Crace (Sorxe, N17) and Rude-T Reilly (N17, 187 Altered Silence).

SaintBreaker is a hardcore desert thrash band that formed in the summer of 2013. 21+ show
